We don't need a new thread for the playoffs, but we've been a bit more active here lately, so why not?
Anywho, with what's happened so far, I'm mad that my Braves are out (Chipper's career ending due to a controversial call... Boourns to that). That being said, I REALLY don't want the Ex-Expos/Walgreens team to get any further.
In the AL, my detest for A-Rod cancels out my love for Jeter, and I'm still out to lunch on Ichiro being in New York. But the fact they're playing the O's, I want Baltimore to win. And in the other series, I'm even more undecided. I'm good either way, but would love to see teh underdog win.
tl;dr: BOO Nats! Go Vowels!

really hoping the orioles at least beat out the yankees. i'm generally a cubs fan, but i've adopted the o's since marrying jason...so now i don't spend all my time crying in the corner over baseball. and, mike, i'm being a good girl and not getting drawn into a fight on your facebook status.

Haha, that's fine. Jameson, although normally a good guy, has a record of taking things way too far, and he is OBSESSED with stats. It's silly, but he's definitely not the guy to get into it with.
Although, I've never had anyone argue over something on my feed.

well, he'd probably out-stat me, but i really, really hate the yankees. so i think my intense hatred might win out over an obsession with stats. but, really, my past arguments on facebook get me nothing but more arguments and an elevated bp, so i'm gonna leave it be.
so, in conclusion, GO O'S!!

tbh, i actually want the nationals to do well, considering a franchise in our capital hasn't been to the playoffs since 1933. but bryce harper can still suck a dick.
oh, and fuck the yankees just in general. they stand for everything that is horrible and revolting about professional sports. instead of developing players and helping careers grow, they throw money at players for 10 year deals that keep them around for 5 years longer than they should be. i hope a-rod breaks a testicle.

You'd think for someone who's a National Leaguer, I'd pay more attention to the NL series. I didn't even know the Nats were out of it. I've been keeping tabs on the AL series more just because I wanted to see the Yankees go down. AND THEY HAVE! The Tigers are advancing to the series! And truth be told...I'd like to see the Tigers win this one. The Giants got it two years ago, the Cardinals last year. The Tigers....1984. I think they're due.

so i'm curious about stats here. how many times has a team who swept the LCS won a series after such a long wait?
