Do you have great things going on in your life? Yes? This is the place to post them.
I get to go to NYC next week for 100 dollars! YAY! I'm so excited. I'm visiting the in-laws in the Bronx and flying on a buddy pass so it'll cost me next to nothing to go. ;D

^^ Wicked!
I've said this before, but I'm leaving for Baltimore on a family trip tomorrow morning! It should be fun, as long as everyone doesn't stress out about things.

I get the stitches out of my leg tomorrow! After 17 days! Finally! Yay!
Hopefully I won't have to do anything much to keep up the incision, just keep it clean and all.

We're leaving tomorrow for our first vacation since 2007!!!!!! ;D
It's tiny -- just a 3 day trip to PA, but I'm super excited. We're going to a little kids amusement park that we used to go to when I was younger. I really hope Violet likes it.... I'm kind of 100% certain that she'll be too much of a wuss to ride any of the rides.

I have today, well tonight, off, so I'm going out in the world to do stuff! Obviously, first I had to tell people about it on the internet...

I think I missed this (sorry!) but what did you have to have done that caused the stitches in the first place?? I had to have a pilomatrixoma (a benign tumor of the hair follicle) removed. It was on the back of my leg, and a little bigger than a marble. They dug it out (since it was way below the skin) and I had to get ten stitches. I was supposed to have them out Monday but they didn't put enough stitches in, so it hadn't healed enough. So they gave me an antibiotic and some cream and I go back to have it looked at today. They're going to have to take them out since its been 17 days. I just hope it's ready. I'm ready to not have to take care of stitches. And to be able to take a shower without plastic wrap around my leg.

I had to have a pilomatrixoma (a benign tumor of the hair follicle) removed oh man, Katie. I used to get these when I was a kid. I have a bunch of scars. There was even one on my eyelid.

I got paid today and I'm gonna see if I can get US money from a bank. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get it, but we'll see what happens

The incision on my leg is totally not healing right, but I'm happy to have it gone. It got really red and inflamed and just gross looking. Just another battle scar.

I'm bad at regular rock climbing, so I have no idea why I agreed to do this. Again. Such a bad idea. Oddly, though, I'm excited about it. Wish me luck and zero gravity.

I'm so terrible at rock climbing. I'm more of an outdoor water sports-type person...like rafting n' such. I've been bouldering twice--the first time, I knocked the breath out of myself and bruised my back when I fell and was a total puss about it, and the second time I decided I wasn't feeling it and was a spotter.
In other news, I'm trying to set up a kayaking trip into some actual rapids later this summer. SO EXCITED, BUT I HOPE I DON'T DROWN.
