I need to catch up on the music jawns here. I hate having an exhausting work load.
I've been mostly just listening to stuff that reinforces how much I hate my life.

mike, I'd say TPC are pretty popular among the indie rock crowd here. if you like the shins and death cab a whole bunch, then you probably like Tokyo police club

^ oh, I love them! They're very mainstream up here, actually (local new rock station plays all the time). I just never know how far bands' popularity travels.

^ a big reason I was intrigued was because of the RIYL. The Dears aren't my favourite band, but they have a lot of gems. Have you heard their latest album?

having just got my computer back after waiting two months for the fucking place to fix it, i am just now starting to try to catch up with all the music i've been missing out on. people should send me things.
also, the double bass on the opeth song i'm listening to matches up with britt's avatar perfectly. i laughed a bit.

That's really not what I meant. I can't listen to new music (or any other music (that I have to download)) because of my internet issues. We have Hughes net internet and we have a 500 MB download limit. Since you download something every time a page loads, every page load (tumblr, facebook, email, etc) goes toward that limit. Updating software and antivirus goes toward that limit. There are four computer users in this house, and we have to share that 500 MB limit. Which is TINY. A few hours of tumblr uses it up completely. After that, the speed drops. It's worse than dial up. It took me two hours to download Constant Headache, and I think that's only 20 MBs. So I have to be fair, and split it. I can listen to any stuff I already have over and over. But on my one day of downloads (or second day, if it's my week for two internet days) four - five full length albums uses it up, so I don't get to listen to everything I want to.
