Seems like we should always have a randomness thread for each forum.
Mine: I downloaded four fucking gigs of Daft Punk. Four. The vast majority of it consists of various live recordings and remixes. My plan is to check out each song and decide if it should stay or go. This process may go on for several days.

Someone explain to me the difference between Gaslight and Brian's new side project?
The song steaming on Rolling Stone sounds like a Gaslight tune.

oh, and this was the thread i needed for my thought...
i was trying to have an MCS day at work and when i got to Even If It Kills Me, i realized I didn't have it on my ipod. it's my least favorite MCS album by far, but it should definitely still be on my ipod. same with Infinity on High. I need to get those suckers back in the tunes

my most beautiful randomness is that when i was going to see spoonboy a couple weeks ago i met John Darnielle and he was the kindest human i have ever encountered and he actually got my twilight zone tattoo and we acted out drawing it on the wall together and just generally looked like crazy people on the sidewalk. i can legit die happy after that.

It does sound very alike, but it's not something I'm complaining about. I know it's pretty secret, but I love The Gaslight Anthem.

it sounds like self-titled blink + eight years.
people liked the self titled album but now that AVA has happened, its "OMG TOM TOOK OVER BLINK AND IT SOUNDS LIKE AVA"
edit: this just being a generalization from what ive seen all over the onlines. also, its a tom song, its gonna sound like what toms been doing the last eight years. it will all balance out.

I think I'm probably the least stoked about Blink. I never got super overexcited about them.
