Did anyone else see Cain's answer to his stance on Libya? Oh my God yes!

I'm officially tired of all things Rick Perry. Whether it be his lack of sense or memes. It all is just getting on my nerves.

So I had this wonderful (read: terrible) idea at work today where I forced myself to rank the remaining candidates from least reprehensible to most. Here's what I came up with:
1. Mitt Romney 2. Rick Perry (since he has no chance) 3. Ron Paul 4. Newt Gingrich 5. Rick Santorum.
YIKES. If you had told me, in 2008, the Willard Mitt Romney would be the LEAST scary option four year later... I just don't even know. Oh, to be naive and...27 again, hah.
I'm scared, you guys. Look at that list. That is a TERRIBLE list.

See, and I have this funky idea that Ron Paul is the least screwed up. Just because he at least has more experience in the field than Romney does. Also because a small part of me really wants to bitch slap Utahns in the face who really don't give a fuck about Romney's actual campaign platform. They'd just give him the default Mormon vote.
But overall, yeah. The idea of voting for anyone this year is scary.

Yeah but have you seen his stances on women's issues? Horrifying.
For a dude who wants a "small government" he sure is into government control of uteruses/uteri.

Here's the thing. Years ago, I used to want to be on team "Ron Paul isn't a bad as the rest of them." He is certainly more consistent than Mittens, I'll give him that. However, I was forced to confront the fact that many of the things he is consistent on--and Katie highlighted one beautifully--are certifiably, shall we say, batshit. His solution to everything that may be flawed is to either get rid of it or ignore it; he gives of vibes of "do now, think later" rashness reminiscent of one George "the Decider" W. Bush. Say what you will about Barack Obama, but the man has displayed a keen sense of nuance. We need that, and I feel as if Romney, even if borne purely of a paradoxically solipsistic/sycophantic desire to be reelected, would be forced to think a bit more critically than Paul.
It is making me sick to my stomach that it is coming off that I'm stumping for Romney. I'M NOT. He was useless as governor, and I knew from the start he was only using MA to gain legitimacy for a presidential bid. He cares for no one but himself; he's a slimeball who will say and do anything to be elected.
I disagreed with Huntsman on a lot of things, but had respect for how he ran his campaign. Once he left the race, it became an official shit show. Barack Obama 2012.
