Disclaimer: Yeah yeah yeah, it's overwhelmingly likely that I won't be voting for any of the persons discussed in this thread, but I'll be keenly watching this go down. And as I just said in the randomness thread, I have to watch Fox News at work, so it's not like I'll have much of a choice.
So it seems that Mitt Romney is the early frontrunner. Fox News has a total boner for Michele Bachmann. Yikes and triple yikes. Right now I'm mainly wondering what this Rick Perry is going to do.
Go!

I'd put my dick in Michelle just to shut her up... but only to get closer to some convincing evidence to out her husband and destroy her campaign chances and his horrible, horrible "Conversion Therapy Camp" thing. Shit like that makes me hate going into my profession because people will cite that as truth without ANY REAL EVIDENCE save for a few "testimonies". No peer review. No empirical data. No American Psychological Association approval... God fucking damnit...
Gary Johnson looks interesting but some of his economic politics scare me. However, since no one in this cuontry can look past their next twitter post, I think I'd take the few social liberties he'd produce (equality for marriage and civil unions, legal weed) because it would at least be SOMETHING before the country implodes. However, telling his party to keep religion out of everything has me kind of twitter painted.
And we could do a lot worse than Mitt. I want to like Obama, but seeing the lack of... productivity and rational thinking that has been born out of other people after he won makes me wonder if we could benefit from someone like Mitt.
Okay, I really just want Mass Health Care everywhere. Is that too much to ask?

I think what is fascinating about Romney is how he has vacillated on taking credit for the MA health care law (and LGBT rights) depending on the audience he was trying to pander to. I still posit that no one can trust the guy. The reality is, the (very blue) MA state legislature had a whole hell of a lot to do with getting "Romneycare" passed. It's pretty funny it is the most potent ammunition his party has against him at the moment. What's frightening though, is that I agree with you Craig. As much as I loathe the man, he is NOT the worst of the bunch this time around. If you had told me in 2008 that he'd go from being a fringe (albeit rich) candidate, to one of the more centrist/reasonable candidates in his field...aaahhhhh, life before the Tea Party. I just looked into Gary Johnson. Very interesting indeed. He seems like someone who is actually reasonable, as opposed to Mitt's "reasonable-by-comparison." If you asked me right now, I still probably wouldn't end up voting for the guy over Obama. However, if it came to Johnson v. Obama, and BHO lost, I wouldn't run to Logan like my hair was on fire for the first plane off this continent. I'd give him a shot. Sadly though, that's likely just a hypothetical. He probably doesn't stand a chance at the nomination. Also, this jumped out at me: I want to like Obama, but seeing the lack of... productivity and rational thinking that has been born out of other people after he won makes me wonder if we could benefit from someone like Mitt. It's really sad, isn't it? (The behavior of those people, I mean.)

Oh, and might it be more effective if you put your dick in Michele's HUSBAND (and videotape it) to shut her up? Teehee. Do it for America.

Alyssa honey, I have some standards. Besides, if I bone Michelle, Marcus will want the tape for future references. I catch him with his pants down at that video and leak it to everyone, showing that he gets off on infidelity AND watching a gay dude fuck his wife. Would that be more scaring? I want them both to suffer.

I wonder if or how much of the difficulty in getting things done in Congress is not only related to "political differences" or old-fashioned racism. Yes, there are a billion other factors here, but... I've been curious as to how much more policy could have been changed if our figurehead had been white and therefore less "dangerous" to "American" life.

I swear to god if Michelle Bachmann gets the nomination I will lose all faith in the humanity of Tea Partiers. Only aliens would vote for that douche.

There's a debate tonight on CNN moderated by Wolf Blitzer in case you guys didn't know.
I watched the last debate on my computer and walked away irritated with or hating almost everyone except for Jon Huntsman. I can actually say that, for a Republican, I respect the guy. I think that he's got the political stance (and general ability to THINK), as well as the experience needed to become the face of the Republican Party - and let's not get started on the fact that he's arguably the most handsome guy up there. It's also refreshing to hear that a Republican candidate believes in evolution and global warming, but I am worried about his stance on other things like abortion and same-sex marriage.
Now, Michele Bachmann is a total waste of breath. Rick Perry has fucked up too much with Texas for people to trust him in the White House; not to mention that Perry was in fact a Democrat before the Bush family groomed him to take the seat in Texas after George Jr. went to the big house! Perry's politics are not only ass-backward, but he has a history of spending government money incorrectly. In fact, when we were offered a huge stimulus package for our education system (which we DESPERATELY need), he turned it down because he didn't like that the government was telling him that they basically caught him incorrectly spending money. He then called the stimulus a "drain on taxpayers" before continuing to ask Texan taxpayers to pay for his mansion that burned down. Oh, not to mention, we're laying off teachers left and right in Texas now. Thanks, Rick. You're a real fucking pal!

I am going to ragefuck the shit out of Rick Perry, put it on tape, send it to Rick Santorum, film him watching it, THEN leak that video out to the press and ruin their lives.

If the candidates only debated in shit they actually knew about, they wouldn't seem so crazy. Scary.
