Why are people not liking talking about music in this section? I'm genuinely curious.
I'm enjoying it even if I'm not posting in every thread. I'm trying to listen to everyone and that's a lot of catching up to do. Just because I'm not replying doesn't mean I'm not appreciating.

^ Yeah, pretty much. I never have much to contribute because if anything, I need to find new music to talk about. I see, I hear, I enjoy, I talk. Granted, I am kind of lazy about getting around to listen to some of that music....point being, it's not totally neglected, folks. I laughed entirely too hard at this. |

Yeah. I mean, I feel like this is a million times more active than the old AP was at the end of times when we all still posted there actively. Like I said in the Negativity thread, people bitching about not liking the music section and not saying why is useless and fruitless. How are we supposed to fix things and make it more enjoyable when it's not explained WHY something isn't working. Seriously, it makes me feel like shitty garbage because I took the time to put this together and people just want to complain but not do anything about it.  I'm a sensitive flower, I know. But I've been going through a bout of being unappreciated by people and I'm pretty sensitive to this. |

Seriously nicole, you're rad and you did a great job with starting this. You're a beautiful, blossoming calalilly (favorite flower). I just think it's a little bunk that threads get started about rad bands and yet the only threads that get any replies are shit that people have talked about 1000x over. Perhaps if everything I listened to sounded like the Gaslight Anthem and Frank Turner, people would give a shit. It makes sharing music I hold dear seem fruitless. But whatever, I'm also a drunk piece of shit, so what's the point.

I felt as similar as you in regards to the old board. I still see it now, but I feel like people are at least trying to be more receptive this go around. It's just going to take some time methinks.
To people who don't check out the bands that get mentioned, is there a reason why this is? Is there a way to make you feel more compelled to discuss this music? I do feel like us having the Link Tank will aid as it makes music available to people.

I'll always love new music, especially if it's shared by someone whose opinion I respect. So far I've really been digging everything that's been posted but until I give it all a really good listen I don't want to comment on it. It's not that I don't like it because it's not The Gaslight Anthem. It's just that it's all new to me and I'm working my way through all the goodness ;D |
