I work at a t-shirt printing shop doing shipping and receiving. It doesn't pay too well but a lot of my friends work there so it's usually fun. and I can make my own shirts when I'm bored.

Annnyyywho, I suppose another form of income I have is donating plasma twice a week. I make over $200 a month to just sit in a comfy bed and let them put a needle in my arm. I still for the life of me cannot figure out why I haven't gone and done this yet. I think part of it is me worried about possibly effecting my work outs. It shouldn't be a problem at all, but after one bad reaction after donating blood, it kinda sticks in your head. Hopefully some research group will go back to offering $400 per donation to anyone who's had vaccinations. That'd be pretty friggin' sweet.

Wow, that's a lot of money! I need to try this. I'd also love to donate blood sometime, but I don't think they'd take me.... my veins are so small that just to get blood work done, they end up with tiny butterfly needles on the top of my hand or on my feet, just to get one vial of blood.

A lot of my friends in college did this for beer money, but the plasma place was on Exchange and super duper sketchy. I never set foot in the place, there were always cracked out mofos hanging out in the vicinity...

to Emily: as long as you don't work out before you donate, there's no reason that you can't work out after you donate. they give you your red blood cells back, so there's no light-headedness or weakness after you donate. and if you do have a reaction (which if you go in after a good meal and are well-hydrated, there's a very slim chance that would happen) the worst thing that will happen is you get sick in front of a room full of people. i haven't seen someone throw up while donating yet, but fingers crossed i do sometime!
to Heather: when you go in for your first appointment, they actually do do (lol doodoo) a vein check. so, you'll just have to go in and check it out! it's really great having the extra cash on hand.

I just printed out an application for a full-time position at my Education Service District and I'm taking it in on Monday. It's for 30 hours a week and it pays 12.24 an hour! That's the most adult job I've ever applied for haha. It's pretty competitive because there's only 3 positions open, but I have a couple teachers who will vouch for me and my roommate's mom is the assistant superintendent and I've worked in Life Skills classrooms for a year now, so I should at least be pretty high on the list. Everyone should keep their fingers crossed for me

I GOT A NEW JERRRRRRRRRB I put in my two weeks' notice at my current one (The one that crushes my soul. Though part of me is SUPER sad about leaving because I do love a handful of my co-workers SO MUCH and I adore a vast majority of the students. I will miss them. It's just sad the shit parts are so shitty).
I will still be barista-ing.

I'M TRANSFERRRRRRRRING JERRRRRRBS!
Due to Shelly going back to school, we are moving and I have transferred to a giant mall kiosk for sbux. It's weird that i only have one shift left at my old store because I've gotten used to working with a bunch of these people, . But I'm also excited to start at the new place.
I will also still be barista-ing.
